About Dr. Cynthia Maule, MD

Dr. Cynthia S. Maule is a board-certified family medicine physician and a nationally recognized leader in regenerative medicine, with over 20 years of clinical experience. She is the founder of the Maule Stem Cell Research Institute—the first dedicated stem cell research center in Sarasota County—where she leads pioneering studies and develops advanced approaches for addressing chronic, degenerative, and autoimmune conditions, as well as innovative work in anti-aging and regenerative aesthetics.

Dr. Maule earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota in 1996, during which she conducted advanced biomedical research at Harvard University under the mentorship of Dr. Betty Hayes. She completed her master’s degree in 1998 with a specialized focus on neuro-endocrinology and biomedical research. Dr. Maule then earned her medical degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota—an institution known for its emphasis on stem cell research—and completed her residency in family medicine in 2005.

In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Maule serves as President of the American Academy of Stem Cell Physicians (AASCP), a role that highlights her leadership and expertise in regenerative medicine.
